MU Food Advisory Council Holds First Meeting

MANSFIELD, PA—The first meeting of the Mansfield University Food Advisory Council was held on November 14 and attracted 16 students, who met with MU administrators and representatives of Sodexo to discuss dining services and options.

The council was created after a student town hall held by the Student Government Association (SGA) in October. It is a collaboration with Mansfield Dining Services to give students an outlet to offer their input on dining services.

“I am very proud to be a Mountie today, seeing such a wonderful turnout of students looking to have their voice be heard, and I’m beyond confident in saying to our students, you will be,” Dean of Students Frank Crofchick said.

In addition to Crofchick, students had the chance to speak with Disability Services Director Melinda Phillips, MU Director of Food Services for Sodexo Drew Robinson and State System Campus Dining Liaison Stuart Hurst.

This council will meet with students every other week in Upper Manser Hall and report their findings to Sodexo and the University administration.
