MU Education Students Support Potter County Early Childhood Expo

MANSFIELD, PA— Members of the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) at Mansfield University, led by Faculty Advisor and Assistant Professor Michele Moore, along with Assistant Professor Rebecca Parks’ Child Development I class attended the second annual Potter County Early Childhood Expo at Coudersport Elementary School on April 21.

CEC members volunteered and helped with registration, serving lunch, and providing assistance to expo vendors. The Child Development I students created three different learning centers based on three different children’s books.

Approximately 30 families attended the event. In addition to the families and vendors from various agencies, Potter County Commissioner Doug Morley was also in attendance and thanked Dr. Moore and the MU Education majors for their ongoing support of The Potter County Early Childhood Expo. Moore has served as a member of The Potter County Early Learning Team for the past several years.

MU alumna Alanna Huck, superintendent of Galeton Area School District, also volunteered at the expo as announcer.
