MANSFIELD, PA— Phillip Swank has been named director of Grants and Sponsored Programs at Mansfield University. 
In this position, Swank will work toward increasing MU’s external funding sources, providing leadership in the pursuit of grants and oversight of sponsored programs in alignment with Mansfield’s mission and strategic plan.
He comes to Mansfield from Misericordia University, where he served as Government Relations manager since 2015. Prior to that, Swank was executive director the Endless Mountains Heritage Region, Inc. for nine years.
Swank holds a Master’s of Public Administration from Marywood University and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Theology from King’s College.
