PRISM Concert Set for Three Performances

MANSFIELD, PA— Area music fans will have three opportunities toMusic @ Mansfield take in the PRISM Concert, which is among the most popular events presented annually by the Mansfield University Music Department.

Performances will be held on Friday, September 26 and Saturday, September 27 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, October 5 at 2:30 p.m. in Steadman Theatre. 

Uninterrupted by pause or applause, more than 200 musicians will provide over an hour of continuous music from all corners of the hall for a theatre-in-the-round experience.

The concert, now in its 19th year, features a wide variety of music–from jazz to classical styles and everything in between, as well as a wide range of ensembles, big and small, instrumental and vocal.

The Wind Ensemble, Orchestra, and Concert Choir all make their first concert appearances of the new academic year in this event.

Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for senior citizens and $5 for students. MU students with ID will be admitted free.

Tickets can be ordered online at music.mansfield.edu or by phone at (570)662-4710. Tickets will also be available at the door one hour before each performance, but due to the popularity of these concerts patrons are advised to buy tickets in advance.

All proceeds from the concerts benefit the Music Department scholarship fund.
