Comedian Hannibal Buress to Perform November 8

MANSFIELD, PA— Comedian Hannibal Buress will perform inHannibal Buress concert at Decker Gymnasium on Saturday, November 8 at 8 p.m. Doors will open at 7:30 p.m. 

Buress is one of the fastest rising comics working. The New York Times says his style, “between cerebral and swagger, is at the heart of his irresistible persona.”

The 2012 winner of Comedy Central’s award for Best Club Comic, Buress signed a deal with the network that debuted his second one hour special “Live in Chicago” in March 2014. He also serves as a series regular on Comedy Central’s Broad City, helmed by executive producer Amy Poehler, and appeared in the film Neighbors alongside Seth Rogen and Zac Efron.

The Chicago native has been consistently featured throughout the late-night TV circuit, including the Late Show with David Letterman, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and the Late Late show with Craig Ferguson. A former staff writer for both Saturday Night Live and 30 Rock, Buress is also the co-host of Adult Swim’s The Eric Andre Show.

Buress has released two albums, his debut effort, My Name Is Hannibal, in 2010 and his Comedy Central one-hour special, Animal Furnace, in 2012.

Tickets will go on sale to the MU Community and MU Alumni on Tuesday, October 14 for $10 and to the General Public for $15. They will be available to purchase in person at the Mountie Den (Campus Bookstore), located in Alumni Hall, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-4 p.m. or on-line at mansfield.tix.com. Ticket handling charges apply to all purchases.

MU students can begin picking up their two free tickets on Tuesday, October 14 at the Alumni Hall Information Booth. Student ID is required to receive tickets.

All tickets are general admission, with floor seating and bleacher seating.
