Faculty & Staff Present at Academic Innovation Conference

MANSFIELD, PA— Mansfield University faculty and staff made presentations at the 2014 Academic Innovation Conference: “Learning Communities in the Disciplines,” hosted by Shippensburg University on October 17.

Karen Guenther, professor of History, Janice Purk, associate professor of Sociology, and Nick Andre, Campus Technologies instructional designer, collaborated on a presentation entitled “Using Technology to Enhance Student Learning in Online Courses: Lecture Videos and Poll Everywhere (Poll Ev).”

Gretchen Sechrist, associate professor of Psychology, and Adrianne McEvoy, associate professor of Philosophy, presented “Making it Work: Creating Active Learning Environments in Large Classrooms without Drowning Yourself in Grading.”
