MANSFIELD, PA—The Mansfield University Concert Wind Ensemble
(CWE) has made the Grammy Nomination Eligible List for the second straight year.
Adam Brennan, professor of Music and CWE director, has received notification from the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (NARAS) that the CWE has been nominated in five categories.
Their work Fervent Reverberations has been nominated for Album of the Year, Best Orchestral Performance and Best Contemporary Composition.
Dances, Reflections & Supplications also earned nominations for Album of the Year and Best Orchestral Performance.
In addition, Brennan has receive a nomination in the Best Contemporary Composition category for Fervent Reverberations.
This is the second step in the four tiered Grammy process. The next step is for Grammy members to vote for the CDs for a Grammy nomination.
Grammy nominations will be announced in December.
