MANSFIELD, PA— Mansfield University Social Work students have Goodwill Industries of North Central Pennsylvania Donate to Goodwill Shop Goodwill - Mozilla Firefox 4232015 123052 PM.bmporganized a clothing drive to benefit Goodwill of North Central Pennsylvania.

Beginning Monday, April 27, blue Goodwill collection bins will be placed in the parking lots outside MU’s residence halls; Oak, Hickory, Spruce and Sycamore. Those wishing to make donations can drop them off at their convenience.

All clothing collected will be distributed to people in need through Goodwill of North Central Pennsylvania.

The drive is scheduled to last until May 7, but the students, all seniors in Assistant Professor Mary Daly’s Communities and Organizations class, are hoping to recruit underclassmen to extend the drive and perhaps make it a permanent effort.

“Being able to do this for our community has been a real privilege and a tremendous learning experience,” Haley Stevens said. “One that I am sure all of us will be able to look back and reflect upon even the smallest of impacts we were able to make. And, I believe that the biggest reward of it all, one that we all can agree on, is that this was not only an effort by our group but also to all those who helped in making this possible.”
