MANSFIELD, PA— The Mansfield University community is mourning the passing of
Professor Emeritus Robert (Bob) Irwin, who died on September 16.
Irwin joined the Mansfield faculty in 1970 in the Health and Physical Education Department. In addition to teaching, he chaired the department for 14 years.
Irwin also acted as a student teacher advisor with the Education Department and coached football and track for several years during his Mansfield career.
He retired from in 2002 and was granted professor emeritus status.
