MANSFIELD, PA— The Mansfield University Chamber Singers, a 16-member ensemble under the direction of Peggy Dettwiler, will present a holiday dinner concert on Thursday December 10 at the Penn Wells Hotel in Wellsboro.
The Chamber Singers will present a program of selections focused on “O Wondrous Mystery” interspersed between dinner courses.
The program will include a setting of O Magnum Mysterium by William Hawley, the Appalachian carol I Wonder As I Wander, Christina Rossetti’s text In the Bleak Mid-Winter and closes with a recessional on Silent Night.
The dinner will feature pumpkin ravioli with sage cream sauce as an appetizer, spinach-apple salad with maple-cider vinaigrette, an entrée of surf & turf (filet style sirloin and crab stuffed shrimp), baby potatoes, sautéed Brussel sprouts and Godiva white chocolate crème brulee for dessert.
The cost for dinner and concert is $35 per per person, exclusive of drinks, tax and tip.
