Biology Students Present Research at State Meeting

MANSFIELD, PA— Three Mansfield University Biology majors made presentations at the annual meeting of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania University Biologists (CPUB) at Bloomsburg University on April 12.  

(L-R) Bill Coolbaugh, Rachael Tylock, Bob Maris, Katie Kohanski, Robert Davis, Sarah Beth RedmondRachael Tylock (Penfield, NY) earned a first place award in the Ecology/Evolution/Organismal category. She was mentored by Associate Professor Steve Stein.    

Bill Coolbaugh (Sylvania, PA) also presented in the Ecology/Evolution/Organismal category. He was also mentored by Stein.

Katey Kohanski (Madison Township, PA) presented in the Cellular/Molecular category.  Her research was overseen by Assistant Professor Sarah Beth Redmond.

Senior fisheries major Robert Davis (Red Lion, PA), received recognition as the outstanding Biology student from Mansfield University. 

Professor John Kirby is Mansfield’s CPUB director.  Professor Robert Maris is the CPUB Student Presentation Judging Coordinator.

Mansfield will host the 2018 CPUB meeting.
