New TV Show Will Take Viewers “Into the Northern Tier”

MANSFIELD, PA— “Into the Northern Tier,” a monthly, half-hour TV show that will highlight interesting people, places and history in Into the Northern TierTioga, Bradford and Potter Counties will premiere on the Blue Ridge Communications Cable System throughout Pennsylvania on Tuesday, June 17 at 10:30 p.m.

The program is produced by the Mansfield University Public Relations Department and the Department of Communication, in partnership with Blue Ridge.

Developed by MU Public Relations and Marketing Director Dennis Miller and Blue Ridge Regional Manager Tom Freeman, the production is spearheaded by Mark Polonia and Adam Murtland of the MU Public Relations staff and Sue Young, chair of the Mansfield Communication Department. MU students will be providing segments for each show.

“This is a great opportunity to showcase our area, its people and all it has to offer,” MU President Fran Hendricks said. “It is also a tremendous opportunity for our Communication students to be part of a professional production and gain valuable experience that will help them as they pursue their chosen field. Mansfield University is proud to partner with Blue Ridge in this community service endeavor.”

After it’s premiere on June 17, the first installment of will re-air on Tuesdays at 9 p.m. and Wednesdays at 8:30 p.m.

“Into the Northern Tier” will be shown on Blue Ridge Cable Channel 13 in the Northern Tier. For information on where to find the broadcast on your local Blue Ridge Cable system, go to brctv.com
