MANSFIELD, PA—The Mansfield University Council of Trustees, upon 
the recommendation of President Fran Hendricks, granted emeritus status to three retired MU faculty at its May 27 meeting.
Granted emeritus status and their years of service are:
Thomas Murphy, English & Modern Languages, August 1990-August 2014
Linda Rashidi, English & Modern Languages, August 1999-August 2014
Robert Timko, History, Philosophy & Political Science, August 1986-June 2011
Emeritus status is granted to retired full-time faculty in recognition of dedicated service to Mansfield University.
The action was based on the recommendation of the academic departments and Interim Provost Roy Stewart, and followed a poll of senior faculty.
