MANSFIELD, PA— John Ulrich, professor of English, has been named
interim dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at Mansfield University. The appointment, effective on June 1, is expected to last through the 2015-16 academic year.
Ulrich has been serving as interim associate dean of Faculty during the spring semester.
Ulrich came to Mansfield in 1991. He chaired the Department of English and Modern Languages from 2005-2011 and served as an assistant to the Provost in the fall 2014 semester.
An interim dean of the College of Professional Studies is expected to be named by mid-June, allowing J.P. Burke to join the Psychology faculty on July 1. Burke has served as dean since July 2009.
